About AYELA
African Youth Environmental Leadership Academy (AYELA) is a youth-led, pan-African non-profit organization dedicated to empowering young Africans to lead environmental change. AYELA equips youth with knowledge, leadership skills, and practical experience to address climate change, protect ecosystems, and promote sustainable development through education, community action, and research.
Vision
AYELA envisions a continent where young Africans spearhead environmental change, influence policy and scientific research, and lead inclusive initiatives that restore ecosystems, combat pollution, and promote sustainable livelihoods.

AYELA’s mission is to empower African youth to become environmental leaders who combine education, community action, and scientific research to achieve climate resilience, ecosystem conservation, and sustainable development.
